Seiko Grote, 92, of Mountain View, died March 30, 2021, at her residence. Born in Kurtistown, she was a retired bank teller and member of the Hi-Lo Square Dancing Club.

Satsue Yoshizawa
Satsue “Sachi” Yoshizawa, 89, of Pepeekeo, died March 27, 2021, at a private care home. Born in Mountain View, she was the retired owner of the former Yoshizawa Liquor Store in Pepeekeo, former seamstress and a member of the Taishoji Soto Mission.

She is survived by sons, Glenn (Monica) Yoshizawa of Hilo, and Gary Yoshizawa of Pepeekeo; sisters, Kimie (Naoshi) Watanabe and Toshie Miyasaki, all of Hilo,and Misae (Paul) Hironaka of Kailua, Oahu; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Rita Thompson
Rita L. Thompson, 97, of Kailua, Oahu, died March 21, 2021, at her daughter’s residence in Pahoa. She was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Neu-Bamberg, Germany.
